Reform UK is expanding its freelance production team and is seeking experienced Production Managers to deliver complex, high-profile political events across the United Kingdom.
This role is hands-on, operational, and delivery-focused. You will work alongside our in-house team and take on responsibility for turning creative and strategic direction into safe, well-executed live events - often under significant time pressure and public scrutiny.
You will work primarily from Reform UK’s Westminster HQ, with frequent travel required at short notice, including evenings and weekends.
What to expect:
As a Freelance Production Manager, you will be responsible for the technical and operational delivery of assigned Reform UK events, ensuring production runs safely, on time, and to specification.
You will be responsible for:
Managing all technical and production elements of assigned live events, including staging, AV, lighting, sound, power, and infrastructure
Advancing events with venues and suppliers, producing detailed production schedules and technical plans
Managing production budgets in line with agreed costings and scope
Overseeing build, show, and break periods on site, acting as the primary operational point of contact
Coordinating suppliers, crew, stewards, and venue teams to ensure smooth delivery
Ensuring all health & safety requirements are met, including risk assessments, method statements, and compliance documentation
Troubleshooting live issues quickly and decisively, maintaining calm and control in high-pressure environments
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Production Manager on live events (political, broadcast, conference, or large-scale public events preferred)
Strong technical understanding of live event production systems and workflows
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Ability to lead teams on site and make clear decisions under pressure
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
A proactive, problem-solving mindset
A full UK driving licence is desirable
