Outline of the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our eVTOL development team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in high- and low-voltage electrical systems design and integration, with hands-on experience in component selection, electrical interface documentation, and system-level understanding of electrical architectures.
Experience in aerospace is not mandatory—what matters most is a strong foundation in electrical engineering and the ability to translate that expertise into a safe, reliable, and certifiable aircraft system.
Job Duties
Develop and maintain Electrical Interface Control Documents (ICDs) between subsystems and components.
Design, analyze, and review HV (600–800VDC) and LV (28VDC) electrical power distribution architectures.
Select and specify HV and LV electrical components such as fuses, contactors, circuit breakers, relays, DC-DC converters, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), connectors and bus bars ensuring proper electrical ratings, interface compatibility, and safety compliance.
Author and maintain LV and HV load analysis documentation, including system-level power balance and component-level current/voltage evaluation.
Interpret and create electrical schematics, ensuring correct signal flow and system functionality.
Define and verify analog and discrete signal interfaces (e.g., GND open, 28V open, pull-up/pull-down logic).
Ensure proper electrical grounding and bonding practices are implemented across systems.
Support troubleshooting, integration testing, and verification of electrical systems at the vehicle and subsystem levels.
Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and system engineering teams to ensure robust electrical integration.
Participate in design reviews, safety assessments, and compliance activities related to electrical systems.
Contribute to the development of system documentation, wiring diagrams, and harness definitions in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams.
Job Highlights
This position offers the opportunity to be directly involved in the development of groundbreaking "flying cars." Through innovative technology and battery testing, you will contribute to shaping the safety and reliability of future modes of transportation. It's a highly rewarding job where you collaborate with the team to solve challenges and directly contribute to the success of the product.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in electrical system design, analysis, or integration (automotive, industrial, rail, marine, or aerospace).
Proven ability to create and manage electrical interface documentation (ICDs, wiring diagrams, etc.).
Strong understanding of:
HV and LV power distribution systems
Circuit protection (fuses, breakers, contactors, relays)
Signal interfaces (analog/discrete I/O)
Electrical grounding and bonding principles
Proficiency in interpreting schematics, harness drawings, and connector pinouts.
Familiarity with DC power electronics such as converters, inverters, and batteries.
Desirable skills
For HV load analysis, a solid understanding of battery cell electrical behavior (voltage, current, internal resistance, and temperature effects) is preferred to accurately model and predict system performance.
Experience with CAD/electrical design tools (e.g., Capital, Zuken E3, AutoCAD Electrical, Altium).
Understanding of aviation electrical standards (e.g., DO-160, DO-254, MIL-STD-704, ARP4754A).
Exposure to certification or safety-critical environments (automotive ISO 26262, aerospace, rail, or energy).
Experience with system integration or test environments involving HV and LV systems.
Target Candidate
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear communicator, capable of explaining technical details across disciplines.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
Collaborative team player with an ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
