Department Description
Palmetto Capital is a branch of Palmetto focused on the democratization of the renewable energy and HVAC industries. We provide homeowners with financial products to benefit from solar power, energy storage systems, and home efficiency through advanced heating and cooling technologies. We empower solar and HVAC sales professionals and installation companies with access to our proprietary platform, financing, customer management system, and milestone quality control system. Our #1 focus is a phenomenal experience for our customers and partners, evidenced in our growing financial product adoption.
Location
Internships will be based in Charlotte, NC and Charleston, SC.
Reporting
This intern will report into the Team Lead, Product Operations.
Summary of Role
Palmetto is seeking a motivated and curious student to join the Platform Operations team for a summer internship. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience supporting real business initiatives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
The intern will gain exposure to clean technology finance and contribute to meaningful work aligned with team priorities. This role is structured to provide practical development while delivering measurable business value.
Core Responsibilites
Consultative support within the frontline ecosystem
Disciplined execution of account underwriting & document processing
Monitoring and maintenance of compliance systems
Strategizing & executing on communication campaigns and knowledge management
Qualifications
Coursework or professional experience in one of the following: Customer/Technical/Sales Support, Clean Technology, Environmental Studies, or Finance
Enjoys working in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment
Servant leadership mindset
Problem solver with a high attention to detail
Strong computer skills, including a high words per minute count.Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
Preferred Background and Skills
BS/BA Recent or Upcoming Grads Preferred.
Relevant coursework in Clean Energy, Environmental Science, or Finance preferred.
Spanish speaker is a plus
