The Job Description
Responsibilities
Build and maintain test infrastructure used for automated Wi-Fi software testing.
Assemble and maintain test racks including DUTs, access points, networking hardware, power systems, and supporting equipment.
Add and configure new DUTs and hardware platforms in existing test setups.
Work with software engineers to configure test environments for specific testing requirements.
Troubleshoot infrastructure issues affecting testing environments.
Investigate and debug problems in test setups when failures may be related to hardware, configuration, or infrastructure.
Maintain and organize lab equipment, wiring, and device layouts.
Ensure test infrastructure is stable, reproducible, and ready for release testing.
Document infrastructure setups and hardware configurations.
Skills and Experience
2 years+ experience working with hardware labs, test environments, or device infrastructure.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP networking, switches, routers).
Experience working with Linux-based systems.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and system issues.
Strong practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work closely with software engineers and respond to infrastructure requests.
Experience working with Wi-Fi devices or networking hardware.
Familiarity with embedded systems or hardware DUTs.
Experience with basic scripting or automation tools.
Experience supporting automated test environments.
