Looking for a Software Development Engineer for the fast growing and innovative Last Mile Technology
systems .
At Amazon, the Last Mile Technology group is responsible for envisioning and developing initiatives in delivering packages to our customers as fast and as cost effectively as possible, at the quality that our customers expect. We own the software that enables global package delivery for parcels, same day Prime delivery, and Amazon Grocery and Whole Foods Market to name a few Amazon business powered by our technology and experiences. With Amazon Flex, we enable individuals to be their own boss and earn money while delivering packages for Amazon. In all cases, we are working on the core technology that ensures we are providing a great experience for package delivery to customers while innovating to make continually improve the delivery experience.
Being part of a customer obsessed company and working as part of this team, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, test, and deployment of a range of products that make it possible to deliver packages to customers in two hours or less all over the world. You will have an opportunity to conceptualize, design, build, test and own software systems. You will influence the technical direction of the team, work with many different technologies. If you are a software engineer with a creative flare, problem-solving skills, exposure to various back-end technologies and have the desire to help drive Amazon's next generation of delivery, we want to talk with you.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Hands-on experience developing mobile applications in iOS and/or Android

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
