Wunderflats’ growth cities are past the launch phase. Demand exists. Supply exists. Product–market fit exists. What they need now is structured growth and clear ownership. As the City Growth Manager, you take responsibility for our top cities and turn them into a stronger revenue engine. Your job is to understand what is limiting growth in the city and fix it.
You will analyze the city like a business: looking at supply, demand, listing quality and pricing, landlord acquisition, booking conversion, average order value, churn, and revenue. From there, you identify the real bottlenecks, form hypotheses, and launch initiatives to address them.
This role sits at the intersection of analysis, execution, and cross-team coordination.
You will work directly with our VP operations on the performance and strategy of the cities you own and collaborate closely with Sales, Booking, Marketing, Product and Customer support to make sure the right things happen in our cities.
The workplace is Berlin.
Does this sound like the right next step in your career? We would like to hear from you!
YOUR MISSION
You own the growth of our target cities. Your responsibility is to understand what drives performance — and what holds it back — and then organize and implement the work needed to move the numbers.
In practice, this means:
Analyzing the cities performance across key metrics such as listings, pricing, landlord acquisition, booking conversion, average order value, churn and revenue.
Speaking directly with landlords and tenants to understand what the data alone cannot explain and identifying the few issues that are actually limiting growth.
Turning those insights into clear hypotheses and concrete initiatives.
Running pilots or experiments to test these ideas jointly with other teams inside and outside operations.
Tracking results and quickly doubling down on what works — or changing direction when something doesn’t.Tracking results and quickly doubling down on what works — or changing direction when something doesn’t.
Some initiatives will be operational. Others may require product changes, marketing adjustments, supply focus, or process improvements.
Your role is to continuously diagnose the cities, test solutions, and scale what works.
YOUR PROFILE
This role suits people who are comfortable structuring messy problems and turning them into action. Typical backgrounds include consulting, strategy roles, expansion teams, or operational roles in fast-moving companies.
You bring:
German (native or fluent) and English spoken confidently.
A strong academic background (business, economics, engineering or similar).
Experience solving complex business problems in consulting, strategy, operations or expansion roles.
Strong analytical thinking and comfort working with performance metrics.
The ability to structure ambiguous situations and identify the few problems that matter most.
A hands-on approach — analysis, calls, stakeholder discussions and execution often happen within the same day.
Clear and confident communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Comfortable working with landlords and customers directly when needed.
The ability to work across teams and move initiatives forward without formal authority.
