The Risk Control Analyst II p roduces accurate and timely daily and end-of-month books, manually calculate s curve shift and origination, identif ies and correct s problems in books, and performs detailed position and value analysis. Identifies process inefficiencies and develops solutions. Reports trading violations to Compliance group . Has developed understanding of Risk Control concepts. Responsibilities/Expectations: Produces & owns daily positions/valuation for assigned scope; completes month-end deliverables and documentation Investigates & explains P&L variances; identifies drivers (price, basis, optionality, deal amendments) and proposes fixes Applies policy & controls; prepares clear escalation packages for potential limit/threshold events; maintains SOX evidence Produces daily VaR /position reports for assigned scope and interprets results; escalates potential excesses Create ad hoc analyses and reporting for the desk and Risk leadership; maintains process documentation Supports small automation/UAT activities (queries, templates ); documents changes Provides direct input into quarterly budget and forecasting process under some supervision Participates and at times leads conversations with regional desk heads regarding regional performance Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Required: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, data analytics, or related and minimum of two (2) years’ experience Preferred: Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, data analytics, or related Other Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills Understanding of risk control concepts and commodity/credit dynamics Understanding of transaction accounting and reporting, including but not limited to the following concepts: Mark-to- Market, Hedge Accounting, Dodd-Frank, Financial Analysis About Tulsa: Our corporate headquarters is located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, the 2nd largest city in Oklahoma and the 47th most populous in the U.S. Tulsa is known as the Mother of "The Mother Road" - Route 66, and boasts impressive art deco architecture, the #1 city park in the U.S. (The Gathering Place) and is a great venue for live music.
