Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond.   Together, we advance your career.    MANAGER OF SYSTEMS DESIGN ENGINEERING - HSIO, PCIe/CXL T HE ROLE :   We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, hands-on manager and technical lead to join our growing datacenter CPU post silicon validation team, in particular in the areas of highspeed IO such as Compute Express Link (CXL) and PCI Express. As a key contributor to the success of AMD’s product, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry leading technologies to market. The Systems Design Engineering and validation team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.     T HE PERSON :   Strong communication and team-working skills are essential, with a validated ability to lead and influence. Validated experience inspiring change and working across functions and geographies to deliver products to specific critical metrics.         K EY RESPONSIBILITIES :   Participating and playing critical role in resource prioritization and task planning   Contributing to test plan design and establishing requirements   Providing day-to-day oversight for the team, with specific responsibilities for the feature enablement and validation of CXL, PCIe and other high speed IO features   While the team has technical leads for each IP, this is a technical role that requires broad system knowledge and the ability to drive technical issues to resolution   Problem solving – the successful candidate loves debugging complex problems and has a track record of doing so   Drive validation planning for each SoC program as well as execution towards program breakthroughs   In partnership with other global validation leaders, identify, describe, and implement changes to our post-silicon validation methodologies to increase efficiency and product quality   Develop strategic direction for validation automation based on team requirements   Manage engineers, contractors and interns including task assignment, career development and mentoring   P REFERRED EXPERIENCE :   Prior, preferably recent, experience working within the Semiconductor industry blending both engineering expertise with team leadership skills   Knowledge of CXL or other HSIO domains Experience with automation and validation methodologies   Experience with pre- or post-silicon verification/validation, power, and performance analysis   Prior management experience     A CADEMIC CREDENTIALS:   BSEE/CSE/CS with 9+ years of experience or MSEE/CSE/CS with 7+ years of experience    LOCATION: Austin, TX   This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.   #LI-LM1 #LI-HYBRID  Benefits offered are described:  AMD benefits at a glance.   AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
