Job responsibilities As a SDE-2 on the team: - You will own end to end implementation of large customer facing products, starting from design, architecture through implementation. - You will participate in designing and implementing key functional areas of our system including applications and platform services. - You will own designing and building functional components, including code reviews, testing, deployment and post-launch monitoring - You will get an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams across Amazons website, ecommerce and merchant technologies platform on the design and development of core platform functionality - You will work with the business team and project managers to start with ambiguous and challenging problems, convert them to functional requirements and build detailed technical specifications. - You will work with engineers both onsite and offsite to define technical tasks and build detailed implementation plans. - You will own operating our products, driving excellence in feature stability, performance and flexibility. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
