Role Description We are seeking intelligent, driven, and analytically minded PEP and Sanctions Screening Analyst to join our growing compliance team. The Screening team works at one of the leading digital asset software platforms to reduce the risk for our customers, the company worldwide and combat fraud, money laundering and terrorist financing. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough screenings of individuals and entities against Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) lists, sanctions lists, and other relevant databases. What you will do: Conduct thorough screening of customers, counterparties, and transactions against PEP lists, sanctions lists, and internal databases. Analyze screening alerts, identify potential matches, and escalate complex cases to senior compliance staff for review. Investigate and assess potential risks associated with PEPs and sanctioned entities, documenting findings and recommendations. Maintain accurate records of screening results, investigations, and escalations. Stay up-to-date with evolving sanctions regulations, PEP definitions, and best practices in screening methodologies. Contribute to the development and improvement of screening procedures and processes. Collaborate with other departments, such as onboarding, KYC/AML, and legal, to ensure consistent application of compliance policies. Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and audits related to PEP and sanctions screening. Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of relevant regulations and screening tools. Perform other related duties as assigned. Experience & Skills we are looking for: Minimum of two (2) years in PEP and sanctions screening, preferably within the financial services industry. Strong understanding of AML, KYC, and sanctions regulations (e.g., OFAC, EU, UN). Experience working with screening software and databases. Understanding of cryptocurrencies is advantageous but not required, as training will be provided. Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written. Flexibility. You will be working in a rapidly growing team that is required to provide true 24/7 coverage.
