The Route Supervisor oversees daily waste collection operations, driver performance, and route execution to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery. This role acts as the key link between drivers, dispatch, maintenance, and site leadership to maintain service quality, compliance, and productivity. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support drivers to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient route execution Monitor daily service performance, productivity, and route completion Coach drivers on safety, service quality, and operational standards Coordinate with Dispatch and Maintenance to resolve service or equipment issues Conduct ride-alongs, performance reviews, and incident/accident investigations Manage driver scheduling, time off, and staffing coverage Address and resolve customer service issues related to routes Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures Support training, onboarding, and ongoing driver development Identify route or operational improvement opportunities Perform other duties as assigned Key Requirements 2–3 years supervisory or lead experience in transportation, logistics, or waste operations Strong knowledge of collection vehicles (ASL, Rear Pack, Front End, Roll-Off) preferred Valid DZ/AZ license with air brake endorsement preferred Understanding of driver safety, compliance, and route operations Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-based environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems Flexible schedule to support early morning or operational needs Key Benefits Competitive salary ($65,000-$90,000/year) and performance-driven environment Leadership role in essential service operations Career growth within GFL field leadership Training and development opportunities Stable industry with long-term demand Collaborative operations team culture #GFLTalent We thank you for your interest.
