About the role We are looking for a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join the infrastructure team supporting Cronon within the IONOS Group. This role focuses on operating and improving Linux-based infrastructure environments used by enterprise customers. You will work closely with the systems engineering team responsible for maintaining and evolving the platform infrastructure. The position is hands-on and operational, involving infrastructure management, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing environments. The team works in an international context where English is the main working language. Responsibilities: Operate and maintain Linux-based infrastructure environments Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues in production Support and diagnose database-related issues involving MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL Manage and maintain virtualized environments based on VMware Use configuration management and automation tools, mainly Ansible Handle infrastructure support tickets and operational tasks Contribute to system upgrades, maintenance activities and lifecycle management of platforms Participate in infrastructure-related projects when required Join daily team stand-ups and collaborate with international colleagues Participate in a shared on-call rotation (approximately one week per month) together with a team of six engineers What we are looking for: We are looking for an experienced Linux engineer who is comfortable working in production environments and solving infrastructure issues independently.
