Back to jobs Sales Development Representative Mannheim; Munich; Germany; United Kingdom Apply Schrödinger, a leader in computational chemistry software and services for preclinical drug discovery, is seeking an ambitious, highly driven, and goal-oriented Sales Development Representative to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods. As a member of the EMEA Sales Team you’ll identify, qualify, and develop new software and services leads within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Your prospects will include scientists, departmental management, and senior pharma/biotech executives. Additionally, you’ll interact closely with our Marketing, Applications Science, Product Management, Account Management, and senior leadership teams. Who will love this job: A team-oriented sales development representative (SDR), or aspiring salesperson, with a science background A proactive dealmaker with a ‘hunter’ mindset A customer-oriented problem-solver who can identify prospects within an organization and arrange introductory meetings An excellent presenter and communicator of scientifically-sophisticated solutions to complex research problems A self-sufficient multi-tasker with fantastic organizational skills who can perform well under pressure What you’ll do: Research addressable market segments for Schrödinger’s software product and service offerings, understanding their requirements and revenue potential Design targeted sales campaigns, ensuring the delivery of appropriate messaging and materials Work with marketing to implement and coordinate prospecting campaigns Prospect, develop, and qualify new opportunities for Sales colleagues to help them meet ambitious quarterly and annual goals: Execute 50-100 activities per day (combination of cold outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone calls) Generate a minimum of two sales accepted leads per week (eight per month) Collect and collate lead data from sales campaigns before handing it over to relevant internal sales executives and account managers Prepare meetings at conferences to ensure sales objectives are met Develop and maintain exceptional account relationships through effective communication, education, reporting, and problem-solving Provide feedback from clients to the internal Product Managers and Support teams Support Account Management team with prospecting, lead qualification and top-of-funnel opportunity creation Use Salesforce CRM to track account activities and progress Expand your knowledge of the industry and the competitive position of the company What you should have: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science One to two years of relevant work experience, software sales business development experience preferred Fluency in English As an equal opportunity employer, Schrödinger hires outstanding individuals into every position in the company.
