Back to jobs Account Manager, Strategic Germany; Munich; Mannheim; United Kingdom Apply Schrödinger, a leader in computational chemistry software and services for customers in the preclinical drug discovery space is seeking an ambitious, highly driven, and goal-oriented Strategic Account Manager to work on the EMEA Strategic Account team. As a member of the Sales team, you’ll identify, qualify, and develop new software and services business within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Your customer base will include scientists and senior pharma/biotech leaders. Additionally, you’ll interact closely with Schrödinger’s applications scientists, product managers, members of the senior management team, and other account managers. Who will love this job: A highly successful account manager who’s deeply familiar with computational chemistry software and/or pharma/biotech software solutions and the drug discovery processes A consultative account manager who’s eager to work in the early drug discovery software space while growing and nurturing a sales pipeline A customer-oriented problem-solver who can handle negotiation, terms, procurement and complex software deployments An excellent presenter and communicator of scientifically-sophisticated solutions to complex research problems A self-sufficient multi-tasker with well-developed organizational skills What you’ll do: Create and implement strategic sales plans for all allocated accounts Manage all team engagements with assigned accounts to ensure objectives are met Develop and maintain exceptional account relationships through effective communication, education, reporting, and problem-solving Provide feedback from clients to internal Product Managers and the Support teams Collect and communicate market trends to Schrödinger sales/product management What you should have: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science is required At least five years sales experience in the drug discovery software or enterprise solution space Willingness to travel to customer sites in the EMEA region (approximately 25% of the time) Fluency in English As a Schrödinger employee in Mannheim or Munich, you'll enjoy local transport reimbursement, a BahnCard 50, bike leasing, the EGYM Wellpass (corporate fitness program), our employee equity plan, employee volunteer program, donation match program, a dedicated counseling service, and our company travel insurance.
