Back to jobs New Director, Collegiate Flag Football Development New York Apply The NFL is dedicated to advancing flag football as a premier collegiate sport and expanding scholarship opportunities. The Director of Collegiate Flag Football Development will lead strategic efforts to establish flag football as a championship-level offering across colleges and universities. This role will serve as the primary liaison to governing bodies, conferences, and institutions, driving adoption and program growth with an initial focus on Division I schools. Responsibilities: Governance & Compliance: Partner with NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and other associations to secure championship status for flag football and ensure proper governance Conference & College Engagement: Cultivate relationships with conferences and colleges to support adoption and establishment of premier flag football programs; support growth of programs and competitiveness to establish flag football as top female college sport Growth Initiatives: Develop and execute strategies to accelerate collegiate adoption, including partner-led campaigns and scholarship programs New Initiatives: Craft and lead new initiatives to drive further college growth and adoption, including partner-led initiatives and Club-focused programs Partners: Engage the partner ecosystem to accelerate the growth through new initiatives including new events, broadcast opportunities, providing value-in-kind, and scholarship opportunities Talent Identification: Implement scalable systems for recruiting top athletes domestically and internationally Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in sports management, business strategy, partner relations, or project leadership. Strong knowledge of NCAA and collegiate athletics with established relationships in the space. Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence diverse stakeholders. Exceptional strategic planning, project management, negotiation, and communication skills. Travel: Requires domestic and international travel (~20%) Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends during major events Terms /Expected Hours of Work: NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week in office. This role may often require hours on night and/or weekends as well. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range.
